Uche Shadrach Chidi

Uche Shadrach Chidi is a distinguished insurance professional and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN). He graduated as the best student from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, in 2001, showcasing his academic excellence and leadership potential.

Following his National Youth Service, Uche began his career with Royal Exchange Assurance Nig Plc, one of Nigeria’s foremost and leading insurance companies. In 2007, he played a pivotal role as a pioneer staff member in the establishment of Royal Exchange Prudential Life Plc, a subsidiary of the Royal Exchange Group. His contributions to this venture underscored his commitment to innovation and excellence in the insurance industry.

In 2009, Uche achieved the prestigious CIIN associate qualification, further solidifying his expertise in insurance. He then joined Capital Express Assurance Ltd as Head of Public Sector Underwriting and Claims Management. His exceptional performance led to his promotion as Head of the Group Life Department, where he oversaw critical operations and demonstrated outstanding leadership skills.

In 2016, Uche transitioned to Transglobal Insurance Brokers Ltd as Chief Executive Officer, where he spearheaded strategic initiatives and drove organizational growth. In September 2020, he took on another leadership role at Midland Resources Insurance Brokers Ltd as CEO, serving until January 2024. Currently, Uche holds the position of Head, Family Takaful at Crown Takaful Insurance Company Limited, where he continues to make significant contributions to the industry.

Uche is also a member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, reflecting his dedication to maintaining high standards of corporate governance and financial transparency. He is happily married and a proud father, balancing his professional achievements with a fulfilling family life.
