Johnson Adaviruku Jacob is a highly accomplished insurance professional with over 20 years of experience in underwriting, claims administration, and sales management. He currently serves as the Head of General Takaful Underwriting at Crown Takaful Insurance Limited, a pioneering Sharia-compliant insurance company in Nigeria. His role involves overseeing innovative and ethical insurance solutions tailored to meet diverse client needs.
Jacob holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa. He further enhanced his expertise by obtaining Advanced and Professional Certificates in Marketing from Kaduna Polytechnic and participating in various technical and professional training programs.
Throughout his career, Jacob has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical proficiency across several high-profile insurance companies. At Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc, he headed the Motor and Marine Unit within the underwriting department. He also served as Branch Manager at FIN Insurance Co. and Guinea Insurance Plc in Kaduna. His tenure at Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc (now AXA Mansard Insurance Plc) included roles as Underwriter, Claims Administrator, and Direct Sales Manager. Additionally, he briefly worked as Unit Manager at ARM Life.
Prior to joining Crown Takaful Insurance, Jacob was the Head of Operations at TRUSTLAND Insurance Brokers Limited, where he efficiently managed the firm’s daily operations and strategic initiatives. His extensive knowledge of insurance policies, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance has consistently driven organizational growth and innovation.
