Uche Shadrach Chidi is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. He graduated as the best student in the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu in 2001. 

After his National Youth Service, he joined Royal Exchange Assurance Nig Plc, a foremost insurance company in Nigeria where he began his professional career in insurance. In 2007, he became one of the pioneer staff of Royal Exchange Prudential Life Plc, a subsidiary of the Royal Exchange Group.  

In 2009, he qualified as an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and  joined Capital Express Assurance Ltd as Head of Public Sector underwriting and claims  management. Due to his diligence, he was elevated to head the Group Life Department. He  resigned in 2016 and joined Transglobal Insurance Brokers Ltd as the Chief Executive  Officer in May 2016. In September 2020, he resigned his appointment and joined Midland Resources Insurance Brokers Ltd as the Chief Executive officer, a position he held until January 2024 when he resigned to join Crown Takaful Insurance Company Ltd.

Uche is a member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and happily married with children.
