Usama Saleh is an accomplished Banker with over two decades of professional experience in the banking industry having worked in a range of diverse spheres including operations, treasury, clearing and electronic settlement, payment operations, general services, amongst others. 

He began his career as an Officer with First Bank Nigeria Ltd in 2001 until 2008 when he joined First City Monument Bank Plc as a Branch Operations Manager. In 2011, he became one of the pioneer staff of  Jaiz Bank Plc, a Non-Interest Financial Institution where he assiduously served in various capacities including being appointed as the Group Head, Banking Operations. He is the Chief Shariah Audit Executive at TAJBank  Ltd. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters of Banking and Finance degrees from Bayero University, Kano. He has undertaken several local and international courses and training in Islamic finance, investment banking, management, and leadership, amongst others, at reputable institutions such as the School of Government and International Affairs, Durham University UK, Commerzbank Germany, IFSB Malaysia, CERT Malaysia, Texem UK, Phillips Consulting – Nigeria, and Lagos Business School. He is a highly motivated and collaborative team player with a diverse skillset, knowledge, and experience.  

He is a Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) and a member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and the CIBAFI Sustainability Working Group (SWG).
